Julie Dwyer
I began recruiting back in the early 90’s after five years of working in operations management for Hyatt Hotels. Recruiting was not necessarily a career choice I was pursuing at the time, I sort of stumbled upon it and I was intrigued. Initially, I was thrilled about the thought of not having to work nights and weekends and I would have my life back. However, I soon discovered recruiting was not always a 9-5 job either.
I was with another agency for 14 years but decided to move to ASG in 2005 because I’ve known the people associated with this company for many years and truly respect their integrity and commitment to success. They are all exceptional at what they do!
I specialize in sales positions in the chemical and manufacturing industry. I work with all levels – from entry level on up. This encompasses sales reps, account managers, regional sales managers, marketing, product development, general managers, directors and VP’s. I work with many types of manufacturers and distributors related to the chemical industry.
My philosophy parallels the golden rule, “Treat people the way you would like to be treated.” I always strive to be honest, upfront, and maybe have a laugh or two along the way. I take pride in my work and believe the process should be enjoyable for everyone involved. The best part of my job is having an active role helping a person achieve the next stage in their career. It can often have a profound effect on someone’s life and I remain in touch with many of the people I’ve placed over the years.
A bit about myself…I was born and raised in a Chicago suburb. I have a degree in business management from DePaul University. I live in the city and LOVE it! I try to take advantage of everything our city has to offer - food, music, architecture, lakefront, people – there is just too much! I’m also a Cub fan so I’ve grown accustomed to hope, heartbreak, and “next year!”
