Responsibilities My client has experienced tremendous growth over the last decade and is still growing through acquisition. They are the largest publicly traded company at what they do and have a competitive or leading position in each segment of the industry they compete in. There is flexiblilty as to where person can be based for this position. Can be based in Denver or possibly closer to Grand Junction. Rock Srpings, Wy is also a potential option.

EDUCATION:
B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 3 years experience in gas and liquid pipeline, plant, petrochemical or a refinery is required. Cryogenic exp a plus. Specific experience with troubleshooting and sizing typical processing equipment including distillation columns, heat exchangers, pump and compressor operations, basic process control, control valve sizing, basic hydraulic evaluation etc.
Proficient on personal computers, in particular, word processing and spreadsheets, database programs, process data acquisition systems, along with process and hydraulic modeling software. Good technical writing ability.
Additional Desired Experience:
Exposure to gas plant processes, fractionation units, amine systems and glycol dehydration units
Continuous online processes controlled by a DCS system
A background with HYSYS or equivalent process simulation software
Analyzing and interpreting process data to troubleshoot process and equipment problems
Experience providing technical support to resolve process upsets and optimize production.

JOB DUTIES:
The job provides the primary technical engineering resource for company`s facilities and pipelines in CO and WY. Responsible for engineering assigned HAZOP, PSM audit and incident investigation action items. Lead role in Process Hazard Analysis and member of unit PHA revalidation. Responsible for changes to Process Safety Information (PSI). Will be assigned to HAZOP`s of larger projects. Can be a member of major incident investigation team. Assist as needed/requested with PSSR`s. Much of the work is produced within the guidelines of the Management of Change Request PSM Program. Support/inform the Environmental group of incidents/changes that impact plant permits.
Assist plant management and business development in establishing operating modes as requested. Review day to day process efficiency and make recommendations for improvement. Work with Plant management and Reliability Engineering to troubleshoot, resolve and document plant operational and mechanical issues.
Provide the lead role in initial project scope development. Work with plant management and business development to in the prioritization of plant improvement projects. Support plant management and business development with developing ROI assumptions for plant projects. At non-centralized sites is the primary contact to the Project Engineering group.
Assist with Plant shutdown planning. Training resource for the operations and maintenance groups. Technical assistance in procurement and quality control issues. Focal point for contract engineering firms. Work with other Plant Engineering staff to develop and share best practices.
