Requirements:
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
2 to 3 years experience in the chemical processing industry as a process/production engineer.
Experience with reactors and distillation preferred
Experience with process instrumentation, controls and
associated computers is desired.
Sound interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.

Job Purpose:
To provide the necessary process/chemical engineering expertise in designing new production processes and optimizing the performance of existing units as well as contribute to improving the cost efficiency of
manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
Performs process design calculations for new and existing processes. (i.e. Flow, Level, Pressure, Transmitters, and Control Valves) Specifies instrumentation, control systems, including DCS-type and process equipment for new and existing processes. To specify and organize plant trials or laboratory experiments
necessary to establish optimal process parameters in terms of safety, quality, operating, efficiency and capacity.
Carry out a first commercial evolution of new production processes. Cooperate with Production, Engineering, and Management Accounting in doing so. Establish manufacturing standards, monitoring actual plant performance,
and make proposals for improvement. Administer the cost efficiency improvement program. To assist in commissioning of new plant and equipment, and in troubleshooting of existing processes. Contribute to the training of operators, production supervisors, and others as required. Particularly in the area of new and modified processes.
