| Responsibilities | Client is a leading manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API`s) and registered intermediates under cGMP guidelines for commercial customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Their facilities offer specialized engineering capabilities including high containment for high potency compounds. Union plant. Great location with a reasonable cost of living by California standards. Easy access to wine country, Lake Tahoe and the San Fran Bay area. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor`s of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, plus a minimum of 4 years of direct chemical manufacturing experience in an API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) production environment. familiarity with cGMP requirements and FDA compliance desired. May also consider experience with batch fine chemicals. Should have hands on process experience in a plant environment and experience in working with Chemical Operations. Knowledge of Q7A. Good understanding of cGMPs, validation (process and or cleanout). Those candidates that can hit the ground running are highly desired. DUTIES: Work will include working with chemicals to produce pharmaceutical intermediates as well as final API`s. 50% - Data collection and tracking. Oversee plant operations. 20% - Operating procedure changes, P&ID configuration control. 20% - Process design, create P&ID`s, bid documents, oversee modifications 10% - Misc. overhead support of facility. Equipment Used: Chemical reactors, various pumps, chiller/heating units, condensers/heat exchangers, drying equipment, computers, material handling equipment. |
