| Responsibilities | Requirements: B.S. ChemE/ME; 1-8 years of experience ideally out of a chemicals background, but they will take someone out of an automotive, utilities, high-speed assembly or comparable background. This could even be a fresh-grad who has 12 months of co-op experience. This engineer will have to show mechanical inclination. Someone who likes repairing things, fixing cars, etc, would be a good fit for this position. Pluses would be design through installation of projects. Job Description: This person will work in a 125-person chemicals facility that is privately held. Responsibilities include: trouble-shooting the plant utility systems (water, steam, gas, water-compressed air), design through installation of equipment, and replacement of parts. This person will also be responsible for the roads, roofs and buildings on the property. There's nothing complicated about this job description, this is a day-to-day plant engineering position at a mid-size specialty and water chemicals company 60-miles SW of Chicago. |
