| Responsibilities | Requirements: B.S. Industrial Hygiene, ChemE, Chemistry, etc; 5-12 years of experience out of a chemicals background. This engineer will have to have a background dealing with chemicals in some sort of direct manner. CSP and/or CIH certification is a big plus. This person will assist with medical case management and Workers' Comp. administration for the North American division so medical management experience is a big plus as well. Travel will reach a maximum of 20% with this position. Job Description: This is a corporate position overseeing 7 facilities and about 430 employees. This person will be responsible for overseeing the industrial hygiene and medial surveillance programs for the entire company. In addition to those management duties, this person will be responsible for training new employees on safety standards and conducting continuing education for current employees. This person will essentially be the point-person for the developing, planning and executing a corporate-wide safety plan. Additionally this person will develop medical protocol and handle workers comp. cases as they arise. The overall goal for this person will be to minimize liabilities and potential claim costs through quality training and ensuring regulatory compliance. |
