Requirements: M.S./Ph.D. ChemE ONLY; 7-20 years of experience and this person could come out of an academics setting or out of a research center as part of an operating company such as BP, Exxon, Shell, or Monsanto. The bottom-line is that this person will have to experience with distillation columns and their experience will have to be practical in nature. This person will most likely have to have published papers and have experience with packed distillation and tray distillation columns. Supervision experience would be a plus but not a 'must have.'
Job Description: This person will lead a team of 6 professionals in optimizing distillation columns for the production of oxygen and nitrogen. The job will based at a research center of 1000 people. The primary thrust of this position will be coming up with novel ways to use distillation in the separation of oxygen and nitrogen for use in approximately 200 small gas production facilities throughout the world. Additionally this plant uses cryogenics, air separation and compression. This person will also lead a team in the optimization and troubleshooting of existing production facilities and lead the expansion of this group and this technology. The job will be 50% technical, 50% leadership and can be tailored on a case-by-case basis. |
