| Responsibilities | Fortune 100 chemical company seeks junior level sales engineer for West Coast location based out of San Ramone, CA. Will be accountable for a territory of existing accounts. Responsibilities include leading all efforts to build and manage relationships with existing customers at all levels. and effectively strengthen and broaden those relationships. Develops plans for each account by incorporating fully developed customer needs including long and short term goals and tactics. Determines pricing and maintains all accounts at target margin or better. Renegotiates product supply agreements so that all agreements are up to date. Resolves any issues, questions, problems, or opportunities that may arise during the sales/customer relationship. Develops sells proposals and closes the sale. Develops and makes presentations on territory and account status. Maintains account files that will be kept current with an account profile, account plan and any pertinent data. Must be a strong decision-maker who uses facts as the basis for the decision when available but can also make good judgment decisions when all the facts are not attainable. Additional Job Requirements: After two years of strong performance and results, must be open to RELOCATION to major city after 2 years. Minimum Qualifications: Engineering degree - ME or ChemE required 2+ years sales experience desired Contract experience a plus! Strong leadership skills in order to manage activities with various groups such as Customer Service, Production, Engineering, Logistics and Legal to ensure that the account strategies are in alignment with the available resources and market objectives. Additional Skill Requirements: Some over night travel is involved with this position. Strong communication skills both via phone and email are a plus. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel are required. |
